Douglas Connell
Doug is the Chief Instructor of Shogun Practical Karate.
He has been training in martial arts for over 25years and has been teaching karate for 14 years.
He holds a 4th Dan in Practical Karate with the BCKA and also a 1st Dan Black Belt in Reality Combat Systems awarded by Geoff Thompson.
His passion is teaching karate that would work in real situations and equipping people with the skills to defend themselves when it matters the most. To this end he launched P.A.K.T. (Practical & Applied Karate Tournaments) in 2017 an international tournament designed specifically to test a practitioners skills in these areas. P.A.K.T. is endorsed and regularly attended by International renowned Practical Karate authority Iain Abernethy.
